PRESS RELEASE:
The SKY SKATER from Interactive Rides, Inc. is being installed at Knott’s Berry Farms Camp Snoopy. Operational in March, 2003.

The Sky Skater is a skateboard look-alike passenger vehicle on a pivoting driven track to simulate the motion of skateboarding in a half-pipe. The Sky Skater has a 40 foot long (12.2 m) track and lifts riders over 21 feet (6.4 m) in the air. Gravity and the driven track propel the 8-passenger vehicle to create the thrilling motion. A magnetic braking system provides fail-safe deceleration of the passenger vehicle under all conditions.
The Sky Skater is popular with young families where parents and children want to share the ride experience together. The Sky Skater is not just for kids though; it gives a fantastic ride experience for all and uses individual seat restraints that ensure a safe ride experience for passengers of all ages and sizes.
The Sky Skater is certified and was designed and manufactured by Interactive Rides, Inc., of Logan, Utah. Interactive Rides is an amusement ride manufacturer with a staff of some of the most qualified and experienced engineers and ride technicians in the amusement industry.
